The farm is the most special place to all of us. Community, freedom, exploring, bonding & SO much laughter. Like when we are all chasing around chickens like crazy people. The dog is trying to eat one, Donnie’s freaking out, Lola’s running like crazy & Mj just yelling “Sorry, it was me!!!!”

Some of the best memories this trip were:
• Grandma teaching me to make homemade noddles
• Chasing 5 chickens around that Mj let out (call it team bonding)
• Two calves being born as we were leaving

Grateful for all the time we get at our favorite place on Earth.

Weekend recap :: Baseball, baseball & more baseball. We had a fun weekend. They seem to fly by but thankful for the limited time we do get with Tyler on the weekends!

My Mother’s Day was everything I could have hoped for—love, laughter, and sunshine. I may not have birthed them all, but I love each of them with every piece of my heart. They’ve carved out their own special places in my soul, and together we’re constantly shaping each other. Being their mom (and stepmom) is THE greatest joy, and I’m beyond grateful for every single one of these beautiful babies.

Happy Mother’s Day, mamas.

This is a post I’ve been thinking about for a long time but finally putting into action.

A few months ago, one of our kiddos went through two days of extensive testing and was diagnosed with ADHD. It wasn’t a total shock—hereditary plays a big role here—but it was the push I needed to start advocating for myself too.

I’ve known deep down for years that my brain worked differently, but I never fully knew. I got tested, and sure enough, I have ADHD too. I finally got on some medication to help calm and slow my mind, and let me tell you, it’s been…eye-opening.

Over the last decade, I’ve built up so many coping skills: mindfulness, executive functioning tools, strategies to help me manage life’s chaos. But with Tyler leaving, a new job, and all the life changes, I knew I needed more support.

The first week of medication was wild. My mind felt clear for the first time—slowed down, less anxious. But I also felt grief. Real, heavy grief. I grieved the struggle of the last 30 years, not understanding why it was so damn hard sometimes. I always told myself it was just me. I had even called it my superpower. And parts of it are: the hyperfocus, the energy, the drive. But the struggle to stay on task, the constant need to redirect myself? It’s exhausting. My old L&Q team used to call me a tornado, and I never understood why…until now.

But now? Now, I can handle the chaos at home without headphones or that crushing need to hide away and cry. I’m making plans and actually following through—something that always overwhelmed me into complete avoidance before. My focus? It’s like I found the “on” switch for the first time.

All this to say: Take care of yourself. We don’t really know what “normal” is—we only know ourselves. My child’s diagnosis was the push I needed to advocate for me.

I’m going to be sharing more about this journey as I learn and grow through it. I’m learning to give myself empathy, to accept that ADHD is part of who I am, and that I can let it hold me back, or I can let it fuel me forward.

Here’s to the wild, busy brains. May we embrace them, learn from them, and thrive because of them. (+ a little of the new, structured 8-4 job, my brain was craving)

This weekend recap is all about Lola & Tyler. Tyler headed off to the academy again for 4 months on Sunday. We spent lots of time together (hence all the pics lol) We need y’all to send prayers + good vibes that he stays HEALTHY this time & gets to graduate!!!

Lola had a Lion King theater production three times during the weekend!

So grateful for the amazing support around me. We are ready to knock these 4 months out quickly!

My baby girl turned 9 years old this weekend. I love you more than words could ever explain Quinnlynn. Never, ever forget how amazing you are. Happy birthday baby. Hope you had the best birthday you lil baddie!!!! {and some weekend extras in there too!}

Aiden & his team won FIRST place on Saturday! Then Easter… which was a bit hard. We didn’t have all the kids this Easter & my mother was gone living her best life in WY with her bestie. Very happy for her but sad for me. I missed her so much. We go over to my parents everyyyy holiday! We made it the best we could together. + indoor egg hunts & peep pudding + Grateful for the time we do have. XOO

Spring has arrived. Such a full weekend full of sunshine & happiness.

Happy Valentine’s Day, friends! I’m feeling so grateful today. I can’t even put into words how much thoughtful acts of kindness (or “kindness service,” as Tyler calls it, haha) mean to me. This morning, Ty woke me up, brought me coffee in bed, a book about mindfulness, and a sweet card. Then he told me he made me a dessert. He woke up at 4am to make my absolute favorite treat.

It’s the little things like this that truly make me feel special and seen. He’s so great at making those moments count. Couldn’t be more thankful.

Don’t forget, you can spoil yourself today too! Self love is the best kinda love!!!!

Almost 3 years ago to the day I met Ty & learned that our relationship could lead to a family of 7. Honestly at the time I wasn’t worried at all. I was living a courageous, action oriented life that was completely new to me.

As time went on & we began blending our families it was fun. Honestly, the kids are all around the same age & got along really well. We were so lucky in this aspect.

These are just some of the thoughts & challenges for me as a mom of a blended family. Every mom has their own guilt & fears but this whole blended thing is BEAUTIFUL but also can be so confusing to navigate. 🫶🏾

This is such a celebration today. This is what WINTER weightloss loss goals look like 😂 (no bikinis here) These ski pants are from when I was in HS lol, from PacSun or something lol. Honestly. Last year I had to get new ski pants, the years before I wore huge baggy black ones.

These peptides have been amazing & I’ll tell you why. Hello, it was just the holidays. No, I did not eat perfect. No, I haven’t worked out in 6 weeks & NO I’m not proud of that. My birthday weekend was not as expected. We had planned on going on a birthday trip with some friends to CO & there was a family emergency on their side so it got canceled last week….

With all of that happening Ty & I decided to stay home for my birthday & work on our future selves. We have huge goals as a family this year & they are going to take A-LOT of discipline.

The amount of “easy outs” we didn’t take this weekend was wild. We enjoyed the simple things. Worked hard & enjoyed our moments together.

I got three eBooks launched that I’ve been wanting to focus on for months, got the house decluttered & in tip top shape & moved forward with financial goals for this year we have.

My normal ski trip weekend for my birthday? Nope but Ty couldn’t do that regardless with a healing achilles tendon anyways! So…. Here’s to year 36!!! Grateful to be on this Earth. It will be year 3 sober. 3 years with Tyler. 3 years of blending our beautiful family & a year full of disciplined action!!! My word for my year! 💪🏾🎉

I spent the last day of 2024 living it up at the Roller Rink with my 5 babies. We had the absolute blast. Taking 5 kids to the skate park solo was going to be a risk because one had never even put skates on. Ha.

But regardless of the risk we had the BEST day. They all were so helpful with Mj. They were respectful, brave & fun. Thankful for the memory with them.

Watching this little girl grow up has been my biggest joy. Man does time fly!!! Almost 11. Wheeeeeew.

She came out of the womb needing lots of structure & consistency. “Go with the flow” was not a phrase we use for Lola. lol

Lola has challenged me more than any child of mine. But on the contrary, she has also helped me grow, work past my own obstacles as we tackle her growth, and honestly has always been a model for me of what true love is. As my first baby into this world, we got to unlock this level of connection together.

We fight. We clash. On the flip side we just get each other. It’s almost like we are one and the same at times.

In growing up & finding herself she’s never really been into sports. Her first year in basketball was a complete wreck (to no fault of her own!) She tried. She tried so hard but everytime she’d get out on that court she would RUN from the ball. I mean run and run away from it.

I’m on the side lines yelling for Lola to get open, call for the ball, grab a rebound or ANYTHING really( the crazy, competitive mom over here!) The whole season I’m not sure she touched the ball even once.

She finally ended up confiding to Tyler that she was terrified of the ball. She was certain it would wreck her face. Poor girl.

From there we transitioned a bit for her into things more in alignment. She moved on to singing, dancing, instruments & theater!

Why not, she was ready to try something new. This here was Lola’s second production on stage. Watching her evolve, lead and develop her confidence on stage has been such a gift for me as her mom.

Growing up as a young girl isn’t easy. I’m glad she’s found her way & began plugging into communities that bring out her light, not her fear.

I love you Lola Mae. Keep shinning babe. ⭐️

Our baby turned 4 years young this past weekend! Mateo had the best weekend. Dino party + meal requested was McDonald’s [got a happy meal] + all his siblings + jump party!

My bestie, Cassandra, got married this week!!! It was an honor to be there for her & Andrew. I even got to deliver my first ever bridesmaid speech. I was terrified & shaking but we made it. So happy for them & so grateful Tyler got to make the trip with me!!! We had an absolute blast!!! Cheers to love! 🫶🏾

The amount of leveling up & leaps this week have been incomprehensible. I can always feel when leveling up is happening because for me it comes in tears. Tears that I cannot stop from flowing down my face even when I NEED it to stop (like in the middle of a damn airport) But I also used my tears to help one of my daughters feel “normal” this week. It’s ok to feel, (“look what mommy looked like in an airport this week lol”) it’s GOOD to process. Don’t keep it all in.

This week I have met some of the most amazing people, traveled to new places, made business moves, processed major stuck points in my life, made big goals, supported one of our kids with major anxiety, and broke through levels in my relationship.

When you are in the right places; things just happen. There is ease. There isn’t pressure & there isn’t resistance. It just flows.

The new year is coming sooner than we know but one of the coolest things is taking action right now. Urgency creates movement. Movement creates clarity. Clarity becomes a beautiful life full of things that are in alignment to your real, true self.

Wrapping up one of the best weeks. My house is a mess, laundry isn’t done but man, I feel present, full of purpose & in alignment. The clean house will happen in due time. It always does….

I am officially two years sober [a week or so ago but who’s counting lol]

Over the last few years I have had tons of people reach out for tips, tricks & support about getting sober or being sober curious.

I’ll tell you what my •light switch• moment was in being able to conquer this mountain. I began reading the book and learning the concepts of “This Naked Mind.” It is a powerful book written by someone herself who was addicted to alcohol.

Her approach to getting sober is all about freedom from alcohol, self compassion and happiness.

It allowed me to understand that I had control over alcohol & it did not have control over me.

“Without desire there is no temptation. Without irrational urges there is total control. Without incessant cravings there is freedom.”

Sobriety isn’t the goal. Freedom & empowerment is the goal for me.

And he’s off. 16 weeks at the academy. He gets to come home on weekends but essentially will just be one day (with all the travel time) but better than nothing.

This has been Ty’s dream since I met him. A dream to get back into law enforcement since leaving it when he left the military. When I met him it was a big “hell no” for me. It all felt so scary, but as time has gone on, he’s tried other careers but nothing felt quite right.

Back to law enforcement he goes. If he’s happy, I’m happy for him!!!!

I am not looking forward to this time away from him. I was pretty toxically independent when I met him. It took so much “unlearning” to relax & even allow help & support me. Now, I need him for soooo much & he leaves me. Bah.

5 night chunks at a time & soon the 16 weeks will be complete.

All of our babies are back in school as of today!!!!

We’ve got 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th in the house!!! Then, Mj starts preschool on Monday!!!

I did a thing & stayed off social media for 6+ weeks 😳 I honestly didn’t even scroll but 30 mins a week.

I was focused on spending time with our kids, being present & not creating content. Allowing my brain to relax.

So many amazing things happened….

New adventures, new sports, new schools and new jobs. Biggest change is that Tyler is now a Sheriff!!!! 🚔
